Learning to communicate effectively for optimum results
This workshop is customized to IT Professionals. It provides instruction and practice in how to advocate your position effectively, invite others to share their opinions. and explain technical concepts to lay people.
The instructor will provide participants with effective communication tools and the reasons behind them. Each skill is presented and modeled before the class engages in role-play in order to practice the skill and receive coaching from an expert. Participants are then invited to discuss how the skill might be applied in their work environment either with co-workers or customers.
In addition to communication tools participants learn ways to simplify the explanation of technical concepts and to avoid industry jargon when speaking with non-IT colleagues and clients.
